“Waxing” is defined by Merriam-Webster as: “to apply wax to (as legs) as a depilatory. ” Well thanks, Webster, for that less than informative explanation on the wonderful world of waxing and how it can benefit YOU. Essentially, waxing is a lot like “mass tweezing. ” The hair is being pulled from the root in mass quantities, in a super quick, relatively painless manner. Notice I said “relatively” when I mentioned the pain factor.
Waxing is not painless. It never will be. However, if it’s done correctly, by a professional waxing can be relatively painless. By “relatively,” I really mean that there is no residual pain. It’s like snatching off that band-aid. As soon as you feel it, it’s over. No big deal.
